Why we built it
Everybody wants more frames per second and lower input latency. The usual advice for “optimizing Windows for gaming” is a maze of forum posts, random registry scripts, and one-click tools that change things without telling you what or why — and with no way back if something breaks. SurgeFPS exists to do the opposite: every change is explained, reversible, and honest about its actual impact on FPS and input latency.
What it does
- Curated tweaks across gaming, networking, timer resolution, power, privacy, and visuals — each labelled with its real performance impact.
- System modes like Game Mode and Quiet Mode that switch power plan, timer resolution, and background load in one click, and revert cleanly.
- Game library auto-detection for Steam, Epic, Game Pass, and Riot titles, with per-game tuning.
- Real-time hardware monitoring — temperatures, usage, fan speeds, and network latency.
- Safe rollback — SurgeFPS captures the previous state of everything it changes, and can optionally create a genuine Windows System Restore Point before the first tweak.
Our principles
- Reversible by default. Nothing SurgeFPS does should be a one-way door.
- Honest about impact. We won't claim a tweak boosts FPS if it doesn't. Tweaks are rated by their real effect on frame rate and latency.
- Your PC stays yours. We collect the minimum needed to run your account and license — never your files or browsing.
